Welcome aboard. Hopefully the carbs (and cylinder head) didn't get filled with rat wee wee.... that would mean everything will need replacing. Good luck with your projects!

"no respect for my emotional well being"

Thats a good one.... once you get those carbs cleaned up and rebuilt with all new soft stuff inside, and then sync them up correctly, you should be good to go. Have fun and I'm glad to help you get your bike back out on the road again.

Re: best way to remove center stand?

Get a bunch of coins. Bend the spring over and start stuffing coins in the gaps. Now ben the other way and repeat until the spring is stretched long enough. Or, pickup a spring pulling tool (cheap) i keep em in stock

Re: Clutch slip

friction disks could be worn out. Or did you go to synthetic oil then back to dino oil? That will also ruin friction disks..

Re: Fuel pouring from carby

Thanks Craig - the #250 float needle valve is for PHF carbs. For PHM carbs the #300 float needle valve is used. https://store.bevelheaven.com/Dellorto/Float-Needle-Valve-300/ And, I am out of stock on the float gauges but some vernier calipers will do the job well. Adjust float height to 18mm +/- 0....

Re: Is there a tool to remove..........

take the clutch cover off and make sure that the sometimes present nut inside is removed.... Other than that, if you have the PLASTIC gland nut, unless it is leaking oil just leave it in place and replace the gland nut grommet only. Do know that if you snap that gland nut, I sell the components indi...
