Hi
I'm rebuilding the rear Brembo master cylinder on my 1980 900SS .
There are 2 holes in the reservoir but only one seems to go through to the bore , the other seems to be blocked somehow - is this normal
or is it corroded - I've tried giving a gentle tap with a drift from the reservoir side but no joy
Any ideas. ?
Many thanks
Bob

Re: 19080 900SS rear master cylinder
FULL STOP
Yes, there are 2 holes. One of them is 4 or 5 mm OD.
> The 2nd hole appears to be the same but isn't. This 2nd hole starts out as the same size but is not a through hole that size. At the bottom of this bore there is a very small hole drilled all the way through. maybe a half mm or so. I keep a piece of multi strand 16 gauge wire on my workbench, with the sheathing peeled back and all but 1 strand folded back out of the way.
I use this single strand of wire to push through this tiny pin hole while I am cleaning the master cylinder to make sure it is clear/open.
both front and rear brembo master cylinders have this same setup.
