Factory Ignition Switch
Does anyone know what the factory ignition switch and keys were for the 750 Gt/Sport/SS? Aprilia, CEV, Magneti Marelli, or other? I have an older Aprilia switch and a newer CEV switch and they don't fit into the hole in my frame. Maybe Gum or someone else can take a pic of a verified original and post some pics of switch and keys.
Ign Switch
Here is a pic my switch of a 73 Sport. Thanks Gum

1976 900ss key
key on my '76 900ss is an Aprilia - metal key with plastic handle.
the key barrel looks very similar to Gum's above - no visible brand on the facing of the barrel

hey jordan
you have fallen for the ''nos'' myth--if it was nos for your model it would fit right in---yes
im sick of parts being described as ''nos''-when theyre clearly not-----
new old stock does not mean new parts made to replace parts no longer available.
my take on your switch size--i got a replacement ign sw years ago (1980)
when rewiring-didnt fit dash hole-had to make hole bigger--later replaced switch--correct size----nos may be for guzzi,lav etc=
you either make hole bigger or switch smaller
post some pics of switch and frame hole-we may be able to help

Found my old ign. switch. It matches the picture Cafe*Racer posted the key is the same but has Ducati stamped in it.I measured the threaded barrel on the switch and it is 21.84mm in dia. I think I remember trying to fit the switch in the hole in the left side frame hole and it not fitting either.Plus it didn't have enough clearance to the Dellorto carb.On my 75 750 the ign. sw. was located on the left on a bracket hanging off the front fuel tank mount.I suspect the early ones used a smaller shallower switch on the Amal carbed models.
