1980 900SS Engine Sprocket

Hi
I am replacing my sprockets and chain and I have had memory failure - is there a metal spacer between the engine sprocket and the crankcase ?
I have a candidate but cant remember if this is correct - 50mm diameter with a bevel on the inside
