Ignition points timing of 750 GT

The maintenance manual describes the procedure to check and correctly set the ignition timing, either by the static method or the dynamic one.
The correct static advance is 10° and can be set using simple tools : a goniometer indicator disk and a pointer, a bar to be inserted in the spark plug hole to find the TDC, and a lamp or similar electrical continuity tester between the contact breaker and the battery.
The pro of this method is its simplicity, but the con is that it does not test the centifugal functionality of the springs and of the rotating device in the distributor to obtain the required dynamic advance of 28° at about 3000 rpm.
The dynamic method requires mounting a specific indicator tool, running the engine at about 3000 rpm and checking with a stroboscopic light the alignment of the phasing indicator with the reference marks on the engine side cover.
The pros of this method is that it allows to measure and set the advance in the whole rpm range from idle to 3000 rpm, hence checking that the ignition points system is working correctly when the engine runs and when it comes back at idle or stops (no worn springs, no seizing)., avoiding risks of kickbacks when starting again.
It requires however more expensive tools, in particular a repro of the 88713.0109 Ducati tool.
I have the following questions :
- is the static method enough for the maintenance and how often should it be done ?
- is the dynamic method a must, and how often, or is it overkill ?
