stator woes - 500 GTL

My stator on my 500GTL is putting out maximum 20, 20, and 10 volts AC from its 3 wires, and these were measured where the wire exits the crankcase. So I guess my stator is shot. I found this out by using the website http://www.electrosport.com/Images/fault_finding.pdf suggested - very helpful!

Anyone have any suggestions on what to do (besides trying to find another 500GTL stator, which will be next to impossible). I checked the part number and it looks like it's specific to the bike (619.46.440). I can't see any breaks in the wires or the coils in the stator, and the magnet still seems pretty well magnetized.

Any suggestions?

i know a guy in Montreal who re-wires these things. i had him do some coils for another bike ages ago.

i'll dig up his info and post it. he has photos of other stators etc that he's done. the result is a renewed alternator and better output.

sorry to take so long, here is the info:

www.rmstator.com

rewind of a typical ducati stator runs about $200 including shipping. they give "dealer pricing" which is for ducati mechanic shops (need letterhead + business info).

i'm having to do one soon, not happy. :-( but at least it's winter now..
