Hello, new member, first post. I just acquired a 1966 Monza Junior 160 in rough shape.(I think its a 1966, not certain) Motor looks decent but the rest of the bike is ready for some love. I have a box of parts which I haven't gone through yet, as I just got the bike yesterday at our local British bike club vintage bike show.
I think it needs a lot of electrical rebuild and overall restoration. I think my plan is to get it wired and running first and leave it in "Patina" for awhile before doing a larger restoration. Do you think there is value in keeping it stock or doing some of the mild changes people on the forum have done (round headlamp, different tank, seat, etc.) ??
What is a good source for the battery?
I have one side cover (toolbox) and am looking to buy the other.
Controls and switches, what is a good source for those?
I have a few local Ducati guys who should be able to help me. I'm going to have to lean on them for their expertise.
Here are a few pics that I have so far.
