Spoke Kit: Deep Drop Center vs. Shallow Drop Center

While looking up spoke kits for my wheels, I came across the options of buying Deep Drop or Shallow Drop Center. I tried searching the forum and the web for the difference/definitions of these two and which I would get for my bike, but I couldn't seem to find the answers I needed. So:

1.) What is the difference between Deep and Shallow Drop Centers? I can guess from context clues, but I really want a definitive answer; and,
2.) Which spoke kit would I purchase for my 1975 860 GT?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Jeremy, all you need to do with any product in my shop is click on the image or title and you will get the full details that will explain what you ask about.

That said you need the following spoke kits assuming you have the factory 2.15" wheels.

Front spoke kit: https://store.bevelheaven.com/wheels-ti ... stainless/

This kit is for all FLANGED or SHOULDERED rims (or use this kit for non flanged or non shouldered rims up to 2.15" wide. If you have non flanged rims 2.5" and wider, use the deep drop center kits.)

Rear spoke kit: https://store.bevelheaven.com/wheels-ti ... stainless/

This kit is for all FLANGED or SHOULDERED rims (or use this kit for non flanged or non shouldered rims up to 2.15" wide. If you have non flanged rims 2.5" and wider, use the deep drop center kits.)

Thanks, Steve! I appreciate the response!

(I meant to post this in the Wheel, Tyre & Spoke category, by the way.)
