Hello Steve, Congratulations for this great website!

I would like to introduce myself and start with a question.
I own a GT 750 from 1974, engine mumber 755269. This bike was sold to Switzerland (bevel heaven, bikes 4 sale) about 2 or 3 years ago.
The pre owner wrote, that the bike had a serial#foil sticker on the frame.
The bike was sold to me in Switzerland whitout this sticker.

The follwing numbers are stamped on the frame:
DM750S *755 88 130* and beneath DGM 9595. This 755 88 130 (homologation number?)
is also on the small aliminium plate on the side of the frame. Shouldn't the frame# have only 6 digits?
Is it a coinsidence, that the engine# starts also with 755?

I'm looking foreward for some answers.

Thank you for your mail.

The following #s are stamped on the steering tube in the front:
First line:
DM750S *755 88 130*
and second line beneath:
DGM 9595

The * stands for a star symbol (kind of a pentagram)
The first two digits 7 and 5 are stronger stamped (deeper).
The 5 is even done twice (very close together, first a weak stamp then the strongor on top)
