Hi all, I'm currently restoring a 79 SD 900- complete rebuild and paint. The bike hasn't been ridden since 1987 and is in dire need of some care and attention. I've got the motor out and am about to split the cases to check the bottom end. I'll definitely be posting a few a questions, particularly when I start rewiring, which was an absolute mess. (Interestingly, the bike has a home-made voltage regulator and there's some bad erosion on the pick up wires inside the case). Look forward to spending some time on Bevel Heaven. Cheers.
