Hi,
I bought a new Ducati scrambler 450 in 1971.
Now I am restorating the scrambler and I have two questions:
- Who knows the yellow color codes?
- What is the width (mm) of the black stripe on the petroltank and mudguards running length ways?
I tried to find the email adress of Mr. Livio Lodi, curator of the Ducati Museum in Borgo Panigale (www.Ducati.com),but I did not succeed.
ciao!

Hi Rinse,
Congratulations on your purchase! They are fine bikes

.
The correct colours and codes for the wide-case Scramblers, and the width of the stripes, are given on the web site of
Gli Amici dello Scrambler (Informazione techniche > Colorazione)
Go
http://www.ducatiscrambler.com/infotecniche/colore.htm
Ciao
Craig

Hi Graig,
Many thanks for the information you've send me.
I needed this information for the restoration of my bike.
I'm already 40 years the owner of the Ducati Scrambler 450.
The first 10 years I used the bike daily, even for sidecar-driving
(2 years) and I changed the yellow color into black and gold (oh boy, why did I do that??). Then I bought another motorcycle especially for driving with a sidecar.
I did not ride on the Ducati anymore for a lot of years, but now the time is come to treat the bike more respectful, so I decided to change the bike into it's original outfit (and colors) .
ciao,
Rinse

Oops! Sorry, Rinse

! I mis-read your original message. (And I think you are the only person I have ever heard of who attached a sidecar to a ... Scrambler!

)
Easy bikes to restore - you can get most everything from
Gli Amici. And nice people too!
Divertiti!

Hi Graig,

It's only a small mistake; it doesn't matter.
By the way, that's a nice scrambler on the photo!
Are you the happy owner?

Yep

. That photo was on the MotoGiro D'Italia in 2008.
Here's a more recent one ...
