Mikuni 38 flatside???

I need success stories on fitting Mikuni 38 flatsides on a 900ss or 900sd 1978-up
or any models...
lets get these old aluminum on the road without putting a hole in our wallets...
and I welcome everyone here to put me to the challenge ;-)
$159 each carburetor from amazon and bang you running again...
these are 43mm spigot mount (rubber mount)

but if you really want bad a$$ carbs here are the 40mm TM40-6 these are 44mm spigot mount, (still good with rubber mount style) should still clear the wallet at $266 each..
