Hello,
I have had a strange problem since I bought the bike. Once every 20 km my rear brake gets jammed on the disc and I have to stop and let some brake fluid out of the caliper in order to free it.
The problem doesn't occur while braking but rather some time after using the brake just during the ride.(probably heat is causing it)
I thought that the problem might be dirt in the caliper, but I cleaned everything and replaced all the seals. Also a braided hose was mounted.
The only thing left is the pump but I don't understand how it can cause the problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions what to do>
Rear Caliper gets jammed
if the mastercylinder has any sludge in it it can block the fluid return hole in the bottom of the cyl. Siphon out the fluid in the res. and refill with fresh fluid then bleed through the caliper until you get fresh fluid out of the caliper. Also inspect the cap and bellows on the m/cyl. Ii has a groove in it to allow the res. to vent to the atmosphere so the res. dosen't pressurize when the fluid expands with heat which will cause the brake to apply itself.
