i'm in between nzed and canada most of the time, my ducati F3400 is in nzed and owning a bike in canada is a pain in the donkey! well compared to nz...looking for a MHR as i am still sad that i sold the last one i had, but the tax dept are happy.....previously to that i had the pleasure of a 750 paso....although i dont think i want that pleasure again!
i wanted to ask those in the know, as being a pauper its tough to find a original MHR these days. if an S2 is the same bike as a MHR. well motor and frame??? and has anyone made a MHR replica out of a S2???? its what i have in mind for my F3400 to make a F1, the biggest barrier being a 750 motor!

I have never heard of a bevel drive MHR Mille referred to as an F3400. Where do you get that from?

Steve,
An F3 400 is a small capacity version of the F1 750 Pantah-based machines. It was sold in certain markets such as Japan to take advantage of favourable licencing fees.
Except for the longish winters I'm not sure why running a bike in Canada is a pain. Perhaps Rossco could explain.

I was reffering to rosscoe looking for an original MHR....

OK I get it now...... I s'pose if the original poster had put a space between the F3 and the 400 I would have caught on to what he meant. Yes I am familier with the F3 bikes... just never seen it or heard them called "F3400"

well that was cruel to send that link of the mhr for 19k USD!
as for riding in canada, well i must admit i havent experienced it fully on two wheels.....my jibe was more to do with the weather you have over there! and also you guys have that nasty stuff called "insurance" which is compulsory.
In NZed if you buy a bike and have a licence you can ride it without any insurance (any vechile for that matter) so it costs you allot less over here, although thats not the case if you crash into a nice new beemer and have to get it fixed!
and furthermore! the roads here are incredible for riding italian bikes on, so many alternative routes with no straight parts
just corners. no prairies over here mate!

hey steve....
correctly there is a gap btw f3 and 400 on my bike. and yeah i hadnt seen an f3 400 before mine, as mentioned they were just for the japanese market i believe.
my first ride i thought "no way 400 is gonna be enough" but with a six speed box i was going quicker thru the windeys than i had on my MHR....its all 750 F1 apart from the motor and front forks and the bore is so thick you can take it out to 600cc with a after market piston kit !
