Raedelli rims

I have a problem with the rear Raedelli WM2 rim on my 75 860 GT. I
also have a used front Raedelli WM2 rim. I know that the front and rear
rims have different part numbers but they look identical to me. Would I
have any problems if I laced the front rim to the rear hub? There is light
rust wastage on the rim and I plan to have the rim blasted and powered
coated.
I plan on keeping the bike and I do ride it, should I forget about the
Raedellis and put some alloy rims on it?

Find some nice used Borranis if you can. They turn up on eBay from time to time and if you send them to Buchanan's, polish, new spokes, etc. they come out a treat.

Borranis are nice but likely to be very expensive.I think Buchannan sells Excel rims for a reasonable amount. They look alot like Borranis and are anodized so they don't tarnish.I'm pretty sure the spoke angles are different between the drum and disc hubs so you might want to look at the spoke holes in the rim to see if they are different.
