Fitting and Electronic Veglia tach to a Squarecase Bevel

Can anyone assist, I have been given an electronic tacho (veglia white face) out of a V11 Motoguzzi and I would like to fit it to my NCR replica.
The tach is not working and I will contact Lionel Otto about checking /fixing it, however, can anyone advise how this would be wired in (or indeed if it can). It is a 8500 redline-11000 max unit and that is not an issue to me.
The NCR rep engine is a square case Bosch engine.
Excuse my ignorance on this issue, it may be simple but as with most things Ducati, I am sure there is something to throw a spanner in that I am not aware of.
