Hello from Germany

Post by lomax »

Hi Ducatisti !

This is a fantastic page - thank you Steve !

My name is Joe, I am from Germany.
I own an ‘80 SD 900 Darmah for almost 20 years. I did not move it for about 12 years, but it is still in a technically good condition. Paint should be renewed, though. The engine is equipped with ’40 del’ortos and ran about 20,000 miles. The oil-circuit was changed with a bypass from filter directly to left crankshaft end.

I lived in Iowa for 17 month in 1996/97 and purchased a Monster M900 over there and took it to Germany. Right now I own in addition a ‘77 Yamaha XS 750 that will be converted to a cafe racer soon and a ’99 Suzuki GSX 1200 for all day use.

This year I plan to reactivate the Darmah and perhaps convert it to an SSD. That’s it for now. Hope to have fun and to get new friends and information about those nice Ducati-Bevel-Bikes.

Cheers from Germany to all over the Ducati-world
