Any one know what bike a set of PHB 36A Dellortos came on?

That size carb would most likely have been on a 900-1000cc bike.
The late 80s early 90s Moto Guzzi 1000s, Lemans, Strada, and SPIII had 36mm DellOrtos.
The big valve 1000s used 40mm carbs.
Some of the big bore Bevels, 900cc and up, would have used a 36-40mm in race trim.

Nope. Dramahs use PHFs (32/36/40).

According to Eurocarb, PHBs were fitted to:

"Aprilia, Benelli, Beta, Cagiva, Derbi, Ducati, Fantic, Gilera, Honda Italjet, KTM, Laverda, Moto Villa, Minarelli, Rotax."

Which doesn't really help a, lot, does it? But at 36mm, you can probably eliminate all the scoots and little stuff ... And I don't know any Laverda that used PHBs; or any Ducati, for that matter - I stand to be corrected, however.

So still a mystery ...

Not sure that they have any particular meaning in themselves ... Here's the PH range:



You'll see that none of the 'B' range has accelerator pumps - these are only available on the 'F' and 'M' ranges (even if, in the picture, there's no pumper mounted on the 'M' carb, you can clearly see the provision for doing so).

Of course, you can mount either PHFs or PHMs to Bevel Twins. The main difference between the 'F' and 'M' ranges seems to be:
a) choke size, 'F' only going up to 36mm
b) corresponding air intake diameters
c) the provision for the cold-start device - you can see the differences in the bodies.

But Steve, as a Dell'Orto stockist, can probably shed more light on the difference between the 'F' and 'M' ranges.

"F" series carbies as in PHF are 30, 32, 36mm choke size [36mm and smaller]

"M" seris carbies as in PHM are 38, 40, 41 and 42mm choke size [38mm and larger]

Darmah specificaly had a set of peculiar PHF32 CD/CS carbies unlike those on any other ducati. They had a small jet under the idle jet
