Anyone know where I can buy a Rear Shock spring compressors from ?

What something like two realy thick philips head screwdrivers through the upper end of the spring and an 18 stone mate.

saw a home one once
some time ago you could buy a bench top drill press aparatus that took an electric hand drill and became a drill press.
this guy manufactured some fittings -hey presto he had shock compressor when needed

I actually have an old drill press I will have a look at it on the week end and see if its worth the hassle or not but if I could buy one that would be better

Hi Steve
I'm in Sydney Australia , US$100 and shipping id say be a least another 40 than convert that to AU$ that comes to AU$205 and this would be something that might get used one maybe twice a year to clean between the springs , I think I will have a look around OZ first to see what is for sale here or make one cant be that hard surely !
could you anyone post a picture of one for me

it took me 15 seconds to find it

click STREET then TOOLS then type in page 1124 up top

If you only want to remove the spring a couple of times per year for cleaning and don't want to spend a lot of cash, then do as I do and loop 4-6 cable ties around the spring and tighten them each a bit at a time and the spring will compress enough to remove it. Clean. Replace spring, then cut the ties and it 'springs' back in to place... Keep you fingers clear :-)

Ikon in Australia made me a spring compressor to remove the old Koni and their new Ikon springs.
