Anybody know which is the best material for 'O' rings - Nitrile or Viton? I need to get some 'O' rings for the oil feed that sits between the cylinder and the head and I also want a couple of spares for the one at the bottom of the bevel tower.

I've tracked down some places that can supply these (here in the US) and I was wondering which is the best to use, also taking into account any problems with disposing of used ones.

The main difference is that the Viton O-rings are made for much higher temperatures than the Nitrile O-rings.
The Viton goes op to 200 Celcius degrees and the Nitrile will only take approx. 100 degrees.

I have just rebuild my 900 bevel and I have used Viton O-rings.
I think it is the rigth choice, because the oil can be around 130 celcius degrees.

Your supplier should have the catalouge specifications for both types.
Check that.
