New from Perth, Western Australia

Post by wa_pete »

Pete here from WA. I recently acquired a 78 900SS along with a 79 Laverda Jota. My third Duke (but ~30 year gap since a 450 Mk3 and 450RT(which was in bits)), lots of Morini's and another Jota (still got that)in between.

Single owner from new, been parked inside for the last 15 years or so. Not immaculate by any stretch, but original and showing its age. I've had it running, seems OK. Not sure if the Conti's are saveable (is that a word?), blew plenty of rust through the workshop, but they don't seem to have holes except for the big ones at the ends. Going through rebuilding the brakes at the moment. One recalcitrant piston is annoying me but I'll show it who's boss eventually.

I'm not planning on doing anything other than mechanical necessities, so I can get it registered and back on the road, sooner rather than later.

Anyway, that's all for now,
pete
