Hi, I'm new to the forum, but have had my 860 since 1989. It was a "hanger queen" -- the bits and pieces left over after the rebuild of another 860 and a 900. In the pre-internet days, it was rebuilt on a very tight budget by looking in old magazines for Ducati dealer ads and calling around the country for parts, which were almost impossible to find. In fact, it probably has more non Ducati parts that Ducati parts! I don't ride it as much as it deserves, (too many projects, not enough time) but you'll take it away from me when you pry my cold dead fingers off the WOT handgrip!
Regards
Mike
