Greetings from Australia.
I should have said hello by now as I have been participating for a little while now. I have owned 12 Ducatis since buying my first 750 Sport in 1974, when that was generally considered a stupid thing to do. The Sport was sold and replaced in 1975 with a 900ss. I still have one today and it would be the first to get pushed out of the garage if there was a fire.
I also have a 95 916 which I rode nearly 6000Kms to the 2006 MotoGP. I have recently bought a 2005 999s and the 916 will say goodbye. In 2000 I went to a bike show in Italy and ran into Dr Taglioni and because we were from half way round the world we got invited back to his 80th Birthday party. I got to meet Franco Farne as well as Dr T's wife. There is a shot of him autographing photos of 3 of my Dukes. Unfortunately this was his last birthday. The 2 Desmos in attendance got a good revving and were made to play tunes by a few people at the end of the party. There are more photos if anyone would like to have a look.
My interests and ownership extend to most large capacity Italian brands but Ducati has been the greatest interest, having owned 12 over the years.
