Another '73 750GT from Australia

Post by Crashfangio »

Greetings all, yet another new member, currently living in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.

My bike is a 1973 750GT, I brought it in 1999 as a rolling frame with the remainder of the bike in four large cardboard boxes. It hadn't been ridden since 1982 and I'm only the 3rd owner. The previous (2nd) owner had stripped the bike with best intentions in 82 before starting a family and forgetting about it up the back of his workshop.

Anyway, the cases haven't been split, I only gave it a set of rings and one new valve guide in the rear head. The bike is the 'standard' deep candy apple red/black paint scheme, leading edge forks with single disc and Lockheed caliper. It now has Dayna electronic ignition and 32mm Dellortos. I recently fitted an uprated stator coil due to charging problems.

Looking forward to touching base with fellow owners around the world.

By for now, David.
