Carb Adjustment Woes........

Just installed a New PHF 32AD on my78 Desmo 500S. Matched the jets to the original. Mixture screw 1.5 turns out.... Slide Adjuster similar to the left side.

Not firing on that side. Even after it warms up.......starts to fire intermittently. Looks like it is blowing unused fuel through the exhaust on that side........Thought the carb/manifold hose leaking...re mounted. Spark OK. Although wet and black......

thoughts anyone?

It is possible to put the slides in backwards in aircooled RD250s with the same result. Don't know if it can be done with dellortos?

the slides will only go in 1 way because of a groove in the slide and a pin in the body. Read the carby sync proceedure in this section. You *must* properly sync the carbs, you can;t just match the setting one to the other.
