New uk member with a problem already

Post by Davidwood »

Hi
I have acquired a 860gts which is not too bad but had no wiring when it came. I have built a loom but not using the original wiring diagram as the controls had been changed . All lights horn starter ignition etc work ok but now I am starting to put the body back together and the rhs side panel does not fit over the electronic ignition sender thingy. Am I missing something obvious?
Hoping someone can help me

If you have a Lucas Rita ignition system fitted, the trigger unit for the ignition is in the upper (rear cylinder) bevel housing.
To fit the right hand side panel requires a couple of the slots in the side panel removing.
Have a look through some of the photos on google images for 860's and you're sure to see how other people have done this modification.
