Hi All,

I am the original owner of an 87 750 F1s. Purchased in New York at Ghost Motorcycles way back when. Back then I rode it for about a year, then decided to race it a couple of times at Bridgehampton, NY and at Loudon, NH.
I crashed at Loudon- the bike did pretty well but I did not. Needless to say my racing days were over. The bike was put away in my friends garage and did not reappear until 2004. In '04 I put some new rubber on it, changed the cam belts, oil, etc and put her back on the road without the fairing. Ran fairly well for a month or so but then I ended up moving again later that year and the bike went back into storage.

Finally retrieved my bike last week. Unfortunately my friends garage had a roof problem- got pretty wet in there. Bike was covered but there was/is some damage.

Needless to say I will be asking lots of dumb questions of all of you over the next year as I try to sort this one out.

Welcome chri and there is no such thing as a dumb question so ask away in the appropriate section(s) and you might get some dumb answers though...

Drained all the fluids today. Flushed the brake lines and crankcase. Ordered a battery from Steve.

Water got in and trashed the powdercoat on the clutch cover. No leak though.

Rotors have surface rust but are mobile. Will sort out the calipers next weekend. Debating the 300mm upgrade if I can find brackets and 4 pot calipers. Any info from you all would be appreciated

Well Bevel Heaven stocks new Brembo 300mm full floating rotors and those adapters plus new 4 piston gold line calipers and master cylinders and lastly stainless steel brake line kits
