Greetings from Texas. Glad to find this forum. I have a 1974 Ducati 450 Street Scrambler. Interesting story behind this bike. I bought it from a gentleman in Port Richey, Florida who had worked at Ken Byer Ducati in Spring Hill, Florida many years ago. Ken Byer finally got up in age and went out of business but still had about a dozen Ducati bikes, new in the box, never unpacked. The guy I bought mine from finally bought two of them in 1998. My 450 was uncrated, assembled, and started for the first time in 1998. I drove to Florida and purchased it in 2001. At that time it had 1386 miles on it. It now has 1490 miles. I take it to shows and it has always taken a first place trophy. Not many bike shows here in East Texas, as a result many of the shows don't have a class for vintage or antique bikes. In that case I put it in the sport bike class. You should see the faces on the late model crotch rocket owners when the trophy goes to a 35 year old, single cylinder motorcycle! Puts a smile on my face though. Looking forward to meeting some more Ducati single owners. Having fun down here in Texas.

Try to get a picture up soon
I'd love to put up a picture of my 450 Scrambler but don't have a clue how to go about doing that. Mabey I can get my wife to help me when she gets home. Wish I was better on the computer, but that's not my thing. Hey, at my age I'm content to still be riding bikes, playing in a rock and roll band, building sports cars, and drag racing my '66 Chevelle once in a while!

pic of my '74 450 scrambler
Finally got a picture up of my '74 450 Scrambler. This was at the Texas Tour in Nacogdoches, Tx. an AACA event put on in a different town in Texas every year. I bought a new exhaust header since this picture was taken. Now I have the old one for riding and the new shiny one for shows.
