1975 860GT Looking for pin made of unobtainium

Hi all,

The headlight mounts on two pins (P/N 0968.668.296) in the shell, and can move on said pins for adjustment.

I have one pin whose groove is "hogged out", and makes it about impossible to get the clip to stay on.

Numerous searches for a replacement have produced no fruit (including BH, of course).

If any of you have a spare one I will be happy to purchase it. It's a small item, but a crucial one
in keeping the headlamp properly contained in the bucket.

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Richard in Florida

Well Richard, seems scoring parts for a 860 is more difficult than for a SS :-D
I think I have some damaged chrome rings somewhere, as long as they're not of a RC SS I don't think I need them.
Try to find them tue of wednesday.
On the other hand, it's a 5 mm pin : I would go for a bolt and selflocking nut (provided there's enough space).

Sadly, there is only about 3 mm open space at the top pinhole, and 2 mm at the bottom pinhole, which is right adjacent to the shell mounting screw.

As for the chrome rings, I am not sure what you mean. My chrome headlamp shell is beautiful, having been rechromed.

Thanks anyway.

I'm pretty sure that, if I had a pin and clip someplace, I wouldn't find it.
If it's stil fitted, it's easier to find.
