TRACK DAY!!!

Post by tim61 »

My dream came true, and I had a chance to tack the Darmah out on the track and flog it yesterday
It took a few sessions to get the tire pressures figured out, but after that she went quite well.

I did manage to get the cltch to slip byb the end of the day (6 20 minutes track sessions). When I rebuilt the engine, I used the stock clutch springs instead of the Surflex springs. I didn't think I would need the heavier springs, as I had never had the clutch slip with the stockers before. I was wrong!

I will probably never do this with the Darmah again, but it was more fun than you can imagine! The thought of dropping it is unimaginable, and kept me from any serious lean angles. Still, I tore up the Metzlers, passed a lot of slower riders on MUCH faster bikes, and ended the day with an ear to ear grin!

Hi Tim
This is my dream too. I could do it in Jerez soon with my Darmah.
