Hello, I have a nice original 1982 900 supersport that I am thinking of selling or trading for a ss darmah or hailwood. Here is the deal, i must be kind of a wuss because centerstand only and kick start only is a pain. I have an sd900 darmah that is a lot easier to use. just wondering what you guys thought the relative value was as far as equal condition bikes
900 Hailwood electric start
1982 900ss
supersport Darmah.
thanks

elsinore,
You've put quite a few variables into the one question. If you already have a Darmah lets take the SSD out of the equation as it is close to what you have. Currently, in Australia, the '82SS and the 900 Hailwood are about the same value. Equal condition is difficult as most bikes have been changed in some way or other such as new paint, better tyres etc.
A couple of years back the Hailwoods were getting more than the later supersports but that has changed and the Supersports are probably going to go ahead from now. Advertise a swap and you might get what you want. A few photos of your bike would make things easier. Regards,
Ian

Thanks for the reply. I will see if I can figure out how to put up a couple of pics. I was considering condensing down to maybe just an SSD, but I really can't find bikes that I like any better than the bevel drives really as far as 70's bikes go. You guys in Australia seem to have more bevels per capita than anywhere else. It's weird.
