Hi all, names Steve and i'm in the uk, i've recently become the proud owner of a 1977 Darmah, but........
I'm thinking of returning the bike to original spec, at present it has;
Dellorto PHM40 carbs
Conti cans
Tommaselli daytona 20 throttle
I've already sourced original Lafranconi cans, any thoughts / recommendations?
Steve.

darmah
Hey Steve, I have some original new DARMAH throttles in my shop for sale, along with the throttle cable needed for it. The carbs are going to be difficult to find though, the Darmah has PHF32CD/CS carbs which is just slightly different then the PHF32AS/AD carbs that are possible to find every now and then . There were some darmahs that came with 40s and contis....... Are you sure that this isn;t one of those?

Hi, thanks for the replies.
I'm sure the cans and carbs are aftermarket add ons, inlet ducts, gaskets, etc not quite right if you know what i mean! Thanks but I already have an original throttle and cables (came with the bike).
The reason for (possibly) going back to original spec is - the neighbours will soon get fed up of me sitting out front revving the bike to get it warm (no choke with these carbs) and the cans have had work done (rechromed & repacked) but are too loud and have an odd exhaust note.
As i said any advice is welcome, nice to hear from you.
Many thanks

It not a good idea to sit with the choke on warming the bike,on mine this
can lead to fowled plugs very quickly,I start with the choke and turn them of straight away,if your keen to warm then bike,I don't bother just ride gently for a couple of minutes,then there are friction type cruise controls
around.
