cylinder sleeve sources

Post by droopydawg »

It has been a long time.....a really long time since i was in here.
I bought a '66 250 scrambler for $200 a few months back and I want to 'cafe' it. Piston was locked up due to surface rust. Drilled and chiseled it out. As a result, I boogered up the sleeve. I have a new 74.5 piston. Where can i find replacement sleeves for this narrowcase? thank you.

Droopy, Look in any issue of Cycle News and get the number of Northwest Sleeve. They do excellent work and are reasonably priced too. I had sleeves made for my F-1 a few years ago and the turnaround time was only a week! Real nice people too.
