Ducati Brio 100 almost finished

Post by spoon55432 »

So the basket case Brio I bought turned out to have all of the important parts, and it's all in great shape. All I had to do is paint, clean and put it together. It's about 90% done and will be finished in time for the AMCA Viking Chapter National Meet June 15 - 16 2018. I can't believe my luck. Still trying to scare up any NOS rubber I can get my hands on, but I'm making Lambo Cento floor strips & side cowl rubber fit (sometimes using a heat gun), and it looks pretty good. But I'd take damaged original if I could find it.... anyone? Check the pics.

Nice work :-D
Never seen a REALLY good Brio in the flesh, even over here in Europe.
Post some pics of the rubbers and we can try to source them.

I did finish the Ducati Brio last year and ran it through judging at the AMCA meet, got 86 points. Came out nice:

Did you have this displayed at an International Motorcycle Show recently? I saw photos of one on a Facebook page. Looks great. How does it perform?

That looks great... a very uncommon scooter for sure. If you go to https://bevelheaven.com then choose PHOTO GALLERIES then go back to the motoGP event from i think 2004 or 2006 we had one on display as well.

Yes, IMS in Mpls. It runs good, underpowered as expected. Not planning to ride it much.
