Engine upgrade for 650 Indiana

Post by Choochee »

Hello all it's a pleasure to write here.
I'm rebuilding my 650 Indiana and think of ways
To upgrade the engine-without swapping it for a
Larger one.... What can be done without making the engine unreliable and emphasize its tourquey characteristics ? I was thinking that a good place to start is carbs, air filter and exhaust. Any other hints? What kind of carbs? Any help appreciated.

I think an Indiana would be best left alone. Due to its rarity it might become sort of an oddball collectors item. If you must mess with it, some higher compression pistons would be a good start and maybe carbs off an Allazura. Try DucPower.com, Ed has lots of 650 stuff.
