Cheap Alternator Puller Tip For Singles

Post by Andy Whitaker »

Hi All

I'm new to the forum and returning to Ducati singles after over 30 years away.

Am commencing a rebuild of a '63 Daytona 250 and just wanted to recommend something that worked for me today pulling the alternator flywheel off the crank. A £5.95 Rolson 200mm 2 leg puller fits perfectly around the back of the flywheel and after a couple of tightenings and gentle hammer blows to the end of the puller 'popped' the flywheel nicely with zero damage.

Found I definitely needed the correct clutch locking tool I purchased however!
