Fork stop repair

Post by rjk40 »

1975 Ducati 860GT:

One fork stop "pin" is bent from the one time I dropped the bike.

Question: any recommendations, short of welding to repair to a normal height, so the fork assembly no longer contacts the fuel tank?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Heat it up, bend it back.

On a 750 GT should there be any “ Bumpers” on the fork stops? Mine has a some made up of fuel tubing, bike is apart at the moment so can’t see if they are required to protect the tank?
