860 gt Moving forks up 5mm in Triple Clamps??

Post by Tinkerbell »

Hi all,
I think I read from Steve to move the forks up by 5mm in the triple clamps...For the novice, what would be the expected effect of such a change?
I am going to replace head brgs and that would be the time to do this.
Thanks,
Kara

I can't believe that 5mm of movement is going to have any noticeable impact at all.

I would be surprised if You notice anything, except Your exhaust grounding faster (because the weight gets more front-biased and the drop of about 2.5 mm in the middle of the bike).
I would be surprised if You notice THAT :-D :-D
So, go ahead, it won't hurt and at last You can have the (non)experience for Yourself, instead of relying on subjective sensations of fellow-Ducatisti.

have fun
