Yeh, Laverdas seem to attract bodgers. Or rather, the things are so strong that they keep running despite abuse which would make other marques - "No names, no pack-drill" - crumble
(My Corsa had bent camshafts, with incorrectly fitted bearing blocks and blocked oil ways. But quickly rectified by someone who knows what to look for, and no permanent damage done.)
