Looks JUST the right tool to cruise at +100 without getting tired. MPH of course :-D :-D :-D
Without the fairing it would get nasty after an hour
Very Nice bike, really wouldn't change anything except using it :vroom: :vroom:

ciao

Found another pic showing the rear rack a bit better. The fairing is BMW.
Looking back now it does look ready to go round the world!

By the time I found this Darmah I had been researching and looking for one for 6 months and already had a mental picture of how a Darmah should look. The fairing and rack came off, but I save everything that belongs or comes with my bikes. I received several boxes of spares and the electric starter that had been removed. I also started gathering another set of bodywork to have done in black and gold. I ended up making molds from the red side covers to make a new set for the black attire.

Laying out the stripes for paint after decals didn't work out. Center strip was for reference to do the outline. After this, regular masking tape and paper were used to cover the black. You get the tank and tail stripe lined up perfect this way.

Not convinced
In those days, Black/Gold was a JohnPlayerSpecial set and Italian colors came from the Big Great Red Reservoir in EmiliaRomagna :-D :-D
Still a nice bike though ;)

Nice :) Looks like you changed the discs and footrests - what did you go for?

How are you getting on with the rear shocks?

And I've just noticed the piping on the seat - second nice :)

The exhaust is a 2 into 1 Conti with a good bark that came with the bike. I think you could drop a golf ball through it. I tried the Tarrozzi rearsets for a few years which made kickstarting a lot easier with an SS type lever but have since changed back to the stock pegs and starter lever. Drilled discs were sourced and swapped with the originals that are safely stored away. I have 4 seats, all a bit different style. The Marzocchi shocks were on it already and were rebuilt and work fine.

Very nice and clean Darmah, both ways: WITH the BMW bikini-fairing, AND the black/gold John Player look,...great bike ! Congrats!
