New to this fine place and wanted to put a pic of my project, this forum has already helped me lots.
Since this picture, the engine is currently about 90% restored and wont be long before I have the tin work painted back to light blue.
Still a long way to go but loving the experience & looking forward to the day I fire her up for a ride.
they all deserve to be back on the road

Re: 1979 SSD
craig, I have done some searching but struggling to find the accessory pictured between the two bikes, probably is ok as might be too expensive anyway.
Making some progress but still a long way to go, however think I am getting the colour issue sorted out.
regards to all

all
Some more progress has been made, and now I think I can very much see light at the end of the tunnel.
I am starting to get excited about when I fire her up, appologies for my photo work as I know I'm not very good

Looking good Don, nice job!
Re: 1979 SSD
All
time for another progress report - picture attached.
I have been for my first shake down ride, and apart from a few small adjustments required it all seems good.
Runs very nice, sounds great and even the first short ride felt better than I thought it would with such an agressive perch.
I feel very happy with my progress so far, and has been a very interesting project
best regards

Nice one, Don, especially when I compare it to what it used to look like!
Congrats! Hope you enjoy it - they're really nice bikes to ride.
