Rear brake linkages - 900ss

Post by Blackandgold »

Hello, I'm currently installing the rear brakes and levers on my 81, 900ss

There are a few parts which I'm having trouble sourcing... Specifically, Rod Terminals and Rod Fork ends.

Anyone have any links they could share? I've checked Bevel Heaven, Belt and Bevel, Gowanloch but can only find the rods themselves.

Cheers! - J

Looks like they are called, 'Clevis Ends', which makes them much easier to find!

Not sure where you are but these are on Australian fleabay. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/37368457444 ... SwCP5hF5v0
I like to surf the worlds eBay`s looking for bargains. I would imagine the rod would be fairly easy to drill and tap some bar stock and then heat and bend to shape. It would help if you had one to copy which you probably don't. The clevis knuckles I`ve seen in tractor dealerships such as Kubota. They are fairly easy to source. I guess it depends on how original you want to go.

Weren't these M7 AND left or right threaded ??
I dumped those, replaced them with ball/head couplings and aluminium bars.
Kept the original ones buried deep.
