Rear axle clamps - 900ss

Post by Blackandgold »

Has anyone seen rear axle clamps that look like this? Have they been altered or do some come like this?

I'm just wondering which way they go on the bike, cheers!

Those have been cut for whatever reason, maybe you dad just thought they would look cool like that, who knows.

When you put the rear axle back on, do know that there are 3 identical then 1 of them is slightly less tall - put a straight edge across the top of them as sitting in the photo and you will see which one is the odd one out. That thinner 1 goes between rear caliper bracket and inside of swingarm....

Like Steve says: three are 6.5mm thick and one is 5mm thick and it goes on the inner, left side. Watch out when you go looking for new ones as there are some sellers that sell a set of 4 identical thicknesses. I've not seen curved ones before like shown in your picture.
