FOR SALE: 1979/1980* 900SS

6,615 easy miles. Never raced or dropped. Garage kept. Stored in my basement for the last 24 years. Recent carb rebuild and valve adjustment to be ready to sell. All original, except for rear tire, carb rebuilt kit, petcocks and fuel lines. It does not have the race kit.
Engine is totally original and unaltered. It starts easily and is quiet internally. Once it is warm it idles smoothly. The transmission shifts perfectly, clutch is smooth and light with excellent feedback.
Everything functions as new.
*I am the original owner. When I went to the dealership to pick it up, they gave me a new identification plate with a model date of 1980 and told me to chisel off the rivets and replace the 1979 number plate. I didn’t want rivet pieces down in the head bearings and did not replace it. The provided 1980 plate is included with the original clear Maryland title issued in 1979 but listing it as a 1980 model.
