Re: Who else thinks this is a GT conversion
Why specifically do you think it's a GT?

Re: Who else thinks this is a GT conversion
the numbers engine and frame seem to line up with other GTS and not sports,
Smiths not Veglia gauges,
Headlight is from a GT
lots of the spares are from a GT, gauges, shift lever
it appears to be a narrow frame, I was under the impression all early sports were wideframe.
in the spares you can see the supports for the ignition, highbeam and headlight indicator lights that would only come with a GT not a sport.
gas lid flips the wrong way.
Enough for me to be wary. Still a nice bike though.

Looks a lot like a post-'76 frame, too - the silencer hangers are a big giveaway, ne c'est pas?

Hey Bern,
This is from a dealer on Ebay known as Shelbob who is known to us on the Bevelheads list as being less than honest on quite a few occasions.
This bike was picked over by the experienced blokes on the list and was (from memory) not what was advertised but is nice as you said.
Caveat Emptor, nuff said!
