Handlebars for 1975 860GT

Post by rjk40 »

Hi All,

I am looking for a source for NOS handlebars for my 1975 860GT, not the clip-ons, but the original stock street bars. Sadly, I do not have the old ones, and thus I am unable to provide the measurements to those online sources that require them.

I am retrofitting the switches on both sides, and will not be routing the wiring through the inside of the bars, thus there is no need for the wiring/cutout holes in the bars.

I would settle for used bars that are straight and re-chromeable.

If anyone can point me to a source, I would be most thankful. There are a plethora of handlebar stores, but I have found none as yet who can definitively say that they have a replacement.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Richard

I found a used set of the correct handlebars on Ebay, from a motorcycle salvage in Idaho.
They are straight, but minimally rusted.. No pitting, and they should re-chrome nicely.

Richard
