Searching for a 3d scanner and printer to replicate a Ducati Mille inner clutch cover by Gilardoni

Post by hedton »

I’ve bought this beautiful inner cover for the Mille and S2.
Made by Gilardoni.
It’s sandcasted.
I’m checking if there is an interest in making copies of this and maybe also the outer cover. I have access to measure the coordinates. Is there anyone out there that have a 3D scanner and a 3D printer that can make a casting model? It has to be 1,2% bigger for shrinking .

I have taken out the hole for the seal to 90mm from 85mm.

I want to put in a modern Ducati cluthbasket and hopefully straightcutgears from Veetwo.

The Mille seal is 85 mm and the modern Ducatis are 95mm outer diameter.

The original Mille seal is 85X65X10mm Viton r23

There are seals that are 90x75x10mm. That fits over the modern Ducati gear.

r23 stands for rotary shaft seal.
