Re: 860GT (kickstart) Electronic Ignition Options

I don't recall. I don't think we bought a dedicated puller so it was either a three jaw or a steering wheel puller.

Big-Sert spark plug repair, what size?

What length insert should I use for an 860GT? They came in a 16mm or 8mm length commonly. Anyone in the PNW have the kit they'd be willing to lend, I'd obviously buy the insert. Thanks.

Working on the electronic ignition first.

Not sure if we'll get to a complete rewire yet.

Here's an option for mounting the Dyna coils on a 750GT. We'll look at something similar.

Clutch Pushrod Puzzle

8 piece pushrod? Seems a little excessive. I think there should be three balls and someone has used rollers?

Re: 860GT (kickstart) Electronic Ignition Options

Except they failed to include the gland adapter... So we ran the new wire through the rubber grommet (one side) and then slid a thin rubber washer with a small diameter hole over the wire. Then the gland nut. Tightened this down. Then the cavity will get filled with silicon for now. The thin rubber w...

Re: 860GT (kickstart) Electronic Ignition Options

I think the adapter should have been include. I'll check the packaging when I get home.

I'll also post a pic of the wires to show you why it's going to be difficult to pull the wires through.

So do you fish the rubber part out of the engine case? I still don't see the wires going through the glad. There are also blade connectors in addition to the molex.

Re: 860GT (kickstart) Electronic Ignition Options

Yes, we went with the Sachse. Clutch and flywheel off. Not sure what to do next. The wire gland that came with the kit is the wrong size. Do you just cut the old ignition wires? I don't see any other way to get them out. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff192/swooshdave/Ducati/IMG_4544_zpsac0309bf....

Re: WTB: 860 GT Rear Frame Loop

The rear frame loop was cut off my bike. The piece came with the bike in a box of parts. I won't sell it (in case the bike ever goes back to stock) but I'd try to give you measurements. Can you post a pic of where yours was cut?

Re: Cagiva owner looking for help !

This is the most active group of Alazzurra owners I've found on the web. I'm not sure if anyone still has the stock airbox on their bike. I think the filters are hard to find. Mine are in a box that came with the bike. There are individual filters on the carbs now. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/grou...

I made sure to use a little Threebond so that won't be a problem.
