SSD having trouble getting into neutral while engine running
Gents, I have an early SSD and have just got it back on the road after cleaning up a few pieces. All cosmetic. I cannot for the life of me get the bike into neutral when at a set of traffic lights. Have to sit there idling with the clutch pulled in. I do not ride much in traffic but I just hate wear...

Is there a tool to remove..........
Gents
I have a Darmah and just trying to remove the screw in gland or bush that seals the ignition pick up wires on the clutch cover. I have removed the first locking ring but having problems with the larger one.
Any ideas appreciated.
cheers

Re: set screw size for front brake lever on Darmah
That little allen head screw [set, grub?] in the lever is either 3 or 4 mm x .7 or .75 it's there to adjust the lever free play. Unusual for them to fall out as they are loctited in and hard to move without rounding out. It looks like the kit Craig shows includes it. Thank you WD for the info. :)

Re: set screw size for front brake lever on Darmah
Hi Brad, 6mm x 24 x 1. The unthreaded section is 10mm long. And don't forget the wave washer to keep the lever snug. Part no. 0820.39.798, btw. Was originally sold as a kit like this ... https://www.stein-dinse.biz/images/product_images/info_images/10279810.jpg ... and still available here: https:/...

Tarozzi Clip ons for 38mm Forks 70mm Rise. Brand new
Gents please see my ebay ad for Tarozzi Clip Ons for 38mm forks. As on a Darmah for instance. These are to rise up the clip ons and raise about 70 mm. Still in the box. I fitted one side to test and ended up using a different set. Never used on the bike so like new. Much less than a brand new set. G...

Re: Hi from Sydney Australia
Hi Steve, Thank you for the message. Good to know someone saw the post. I believe mine is a 1978. One of the first built The Australian Compliance Plate is marked 12/78. It is my understanding that the ADR plate is attached at the factory. I know reading Ian Falloon's book that a batch came to Austr...

Re: Seat length and Imola fuel tank
Steve
Why can't you ride it with the fiberglass tank ?
Is it a local law in the US ?
Do you have a link to the aluminum tank supplier ?

Re: Seat length and Imola fuel tank
An imola tank is a couple inches longer than the SS tanks...... I know that you have to trim the front off a solo SS seat to fit one so I can't imagine a dual seat being any different and therefore needing to be trimmed as well. I converted a 1980 900 SS with an Imola tank and had to cut the seat f...
