That's the way I interpreted it (ID, OD, L; in mm) yes. I suspect those are correct i.e. a thick washer.

That part appears common to the 900SS and the parts book for that more (help)fully lists it as "Distanziale (Spacer) ø6,5 x ø14 x 4".

13 years in a shed. A leisurely recommission (incl. carb/brake rebuild) and we're on the road again. Some bits to tidy, a few decisions to make etc., etc.

I seem to remember from last servicing bike drum brakes (about 30 years ago and not on a Ducati) that this was achieved by removing the shoes and springs from the posts/cams as one unit - allowing the springs to be fully at rest, loose in their holes and capable of being "naturally" stretched and ...

According to the parts catalogue, 0769.84.520 is the vertical pipe for the (later, at least*) 900MHR.

* Edit: Just checked and my early 900MHR also uses this part.

I had thought it should be OK but the availability of various shims to cater for "the other situation" made me question it.

It turns out that my original m/c is pitted so I've reassembled with a (cough) ZXR750 5/8" remote reservoir m/c I had lying around and we ...

In refitting the calipers to the MHR I noticed that the right hand one doesn't sit centrally over it's disc - they are a few mm "out" to the naked eye.
The caliper/disc on the left hand side is spot on i.e. the mating face of the caliper halves sits right above the centre line of the disc.

Just how tiny is this (banjo side) hole? From the top side it looks to be the same size as the lever-side hole but looking along the bore the hole isn't obvious at all - unlike the lever-side one which appears to be the same size as it is when viewed from above.
